Hmm, eDrawings is not bad, files open fast and can play animations with section planes active. Unfortunately the animation stops when the camera rotates, or is there a way to keep it playing?

Visualizing the assembly is fine, the problem would be being able to move it within the Mates established in SW.
I did test eDrawings, but it does not keep the Mates, right?

Using Variable Size Fillet you have more control than creating them in the sketch.
Also using Ctrl+RMB make it easier to edit them together:

Don't know if there is such tool.
Usually when I am using 3DSketch I always check the "Along X/Y/Z" relations, sometimes it doesn't snap properly and solves the issue.

Have you tried a normal cut without the fillets, and then unfolding the part and adding the fillets afterward?
