Plasticity 3D guidelines

I'm new in using Plasticity and by watching some tutorials I stumbled over creating guidelines or construction lines. This should be done by just holding Shift-key and clicking on a vertex. But it seems that this funktion is hidden somewhere else in the new version 1.4... Any idea?
