My setup is

Artech Eva with a republic of gamers laptop Core i7 2.2ghz. rtx 2070, 24gb ram, samsung evo 970 for offsite scanning

My processing rig is a custom desktop with Core I7 i9-7900x, rtx 2090ti, 128gb ram, samsung evo 980

I use it to scan aircraft such a AS350 helicopters and gulfstream g550 jets. Then I use the scan data to create parts files in SW.
I create CNC programs for flooring, interior panels, cabinets, seats and anything else that the customer requests.

Artec: Eva, Leo, Spider, Ray
Faro: Focus, FaroArm.
Leica: RTC360
CreaForm: HandySCAN 3D

There's more but at least gives a sense of some of what we use that's both off the shelf as well as custom built. A lot of decision about which scanner to use really depends on the project needs are and where the intended final data will need to go.

That has to be nice to have many scanners to choose from, I need a scanner that gets data in tight spaces such as the cockpit that has pedals in the way We can not remove them due to regulations. I am looking at the creaform handscan black for the tight areas or the artech Leo

also one day I would love to do a full fuselage scan of one of the Heli's

I'd recommend he Artec Spider for that kind of work but you won't go wrong with the Creaform either.
