Over the years I've become somewhat proficient in a couple of languages by finding examples and tweaking to my needs. I wouldn't let a lack of formal training stop you from trying to write your own macros add-ins.

I took the time to make sure I am comparing apples to apples, and tweaked the helix parameters, and the geometry is the same.

I've never used Go To. To be honest, I didn't even understand how it worked until just now.

It doesn't work for me either. My 2 thoughts:
PDM is causing the problem. (I'm pretty sure Alex isn't on PDM, and we are.)
All parts / assemblies / drawings have to live in the same folder. (We do not follow this convention. Parts and assemblies are in different folders.)

In the VBA editor, go to 'Tools-> References'. There is probably a broken reference that either needs to be unchecked, or more likely pointed to the correct dll.
