I think I've looked thru every setting I could find to try and make these go away. I have no idea what happened to make them pop up in the first place. Can someone tell me how to make the grid scales go away on drawings please?

Don't you want to have the model's revision number in the model's custom properties? I'm assuming you're expecting to keep your drawing and model at the same rev. Recording a macro almost always results in unusable code that doesn't capture most of what the user is doing. I have to give Onshape kudo's for stability. I did some pretty clunky stuff and being a "New user" sure I did not do them the most eloquent way. Not only did it not crash but it actually did exactly what it was supposed to unlike some other systems that shall remain nameless tends to do.
