Ooooo...!?!? Is this a setting I am not seeing..? I see the "Select Other" option in the RMB Context Menu. But I'm no clever enough to grok its workings.. The "Select Other" function is just a tool for situations where there are several options available for clicking on, such as...

Did you delete some dimensions or sketches? If yes, and they contained equations, the equations will show an error instead of being deleted.

Re: cannot select edges for dimensioning
Yep. This is literally the worst thing about SW. The way it handles drawings. I ALWAYS use HLR views on my drawings. (Unless there is a very specific and/or compelling reason). One thing I find soooo often when using weldment profiles. It will almost always default to the inner face of the box tube...

You could certainly try, but I have my doubts. SW didn't support Win10 until SW2015 sp 5.0, if I remember correctly.

Hey Damo, SolidWorks loves turning that off every now and then. Here's a macro to quickly toggle it back on It happened to me often 10 years or so ago. Apparently it was caused by my 3d mouse. It would temporarily turn that setting off when I used it to move the model to keep edges and faces being ...

Re: transitioning from a straight line to a fillet to a straight line
OK, I now see what the problem is and where the confusion lies. I'm able to infer the 2nd tangency relation, but not necessarily at the desired 90 degrees. I'm basically trading the tangency for the perpendicularity. I just checked. You can get both perpendicular and tangent (assuming the first lin...

Hi Glen, This is how they're set: Then I can't imagine why you can't get the second line tangent. Something just occurred to me. After clicking to place the arc, and moving your cursor to start a line from its endpoint, you will only get the option to make this line tangent to the arc in its presen...

The arc is automatically tangent to the first line, but I'm able to get the other one tangent also. If you can't I suspect one of the options at Tools > Options > System Options > Sketch > Relations/Snaps isn't checked.

Re: transitioning from a straight line to a fillet to a straight line
For me it depends on the situation. If I just need one then I move my cursor back to the end of the straight line, like shown in the video @Frederick_Law posted. If I want multiple fillets, and especially if I want them equal, I use the sketch fillet tool.

Welcome to the forum. Looking at the sketch I assume the part is hollow? If yes, use a simple Extruded Cut for the first hole. Start the sketch on a plane at the center of the part and parallel to the notch (create a new one there if there isn't already one there), then choose "Through All"...
