Try turning off annotations. That is what controls that being displayed in modelling. I assume it does the same in drafting. (I can't test it now, due to power outage from storms.)

A slight variation. Create the files automatically, but send the ones you don't need to a junk directory.

So how are you supposed to work with PMI? Can you at least export to other systems with AP242? You are SOL trying to import AP242 in SolidWorks. After digging deeper, I am confused. I would attack this a different way. I would create a new part (or preferably an assembly.) In this new assembly, I would insert the part with the 3d sketch, and use constraints to locate the 3d sketch. Then you don't have to mess with any of the matrix nonsense. Have you tried toggling enhanced graphics to see if that could be causing it? I have this turned off since it came about as a gitchy boggle of bollocks to impress themselves with. Here is a good example of how not to add color. You've got the whole spectrum available to you, and you chose 2 colors that are difficult for me to tell the difference. I've seen both. I've had the screen go black and the unit still be functional, and I've had the screen go black and it be non-responsive. I am using the Space Mouse Enterprise.
