Is there any way to export the splitted lines to DXF too? At present we use @Frederick_Law's solution to be able to export them to DXF. Thanks. Only if tangent lines are shown in the view. You could select the face and "Convert Entities" then put it on whatever layer you want. image.png

@martin I'll second @SPerman method. Split the faces in the model and show them in a different color. In the drawing you can hatch the face.

Well, I was able to reproduce it by creating an in-context part in an assembly, saved to disk. Then I add a sub-assy and drag the in-context part to the sub-assy and save. Then I close everything and open the sub-assy and delete the part and save. Then reopen top level assembly......got the orphaned...

I use Hole Wizard for typical standard size holes, mostly for fastening hardware. And cut extrude holes for everything else. I never use the simple hole...seems like there were limitations at one time...maybe no longer though.
