The settings under Groups\All Users, does that apply to all the groups? Or could they be different for each Group? Simple question hopefully a simple answer. I'm new to administrating PDM but have been using it since 2016. I am waiting to get training "patience my young Padawan". edit: TL...

this is bad! Is there a possibility to run the task processing as a service? Nope. Need a user to be logged into the vault for tasks to be sent to that task host machine. Re: Mobius Strip in SW
Could you please upload the SW file? I didn't save it. Nothing novel, as stated by Josh the screen shot is just a loop with a 360 deg twist. Only thing different is instead of rotated sweep I used the flex (twist) feature to get the 180 deg twist. First I extruded a surface and twisted that, then l...

Re: Mobius Strip in SW
I don't really understand all the details or the proper definition of a Mobius Strip. It sounds like the requirement of being a continuous surface rather than a solid was added for this discussion. If we trace a solid body Mobius the trace would go around it twice to get back to the starting point. ...

That's good to know. Thank you. But, we've been focusing on 2023 as our next version. Trying to get time to set up test PDM servers etc. This seems to be the norm though, get into testing a version & SP then find out there's a dangling carrot in the next one. Oh well. Good answer never-the-less.

PDM, Check Out operation, possible to add comment?
I've received questions several times over the past couple of years about adding comments to check out action as well as why can't we see the check out event in the file history dialog. Obviously, all the check in events show up, some create new version. I'm guessing the two are related? Is there a ...

To open the same model twice you'll need to rename it, not just a different folder, must be different name. AFAIK, Solidworks will not allow you to load the same file in two instances of sldworks.exe at the same time. This is not the reason we do sim on copies of the "real" file, but that ...

Let me make sure I understand, you have a model that was either modeled in bad orientation or imported from a CAD system with Z-up. You made a drawing with all the dimensions. Then realized the model orientation is not ideal and you fix it by simply rotating the body. While move body is a solid mode...
