@matt It works now. We were having some issues with our proxy server so I suspect that was the cause.Jaylin Hochstetler wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 1:17 pm For some reason I can't post a screenshot of it. Yes, same thing.
I ended up migrating it to SolidEdge and doing it there.
Hey SolidWorks, if you can't do what I want you to, I will have to use a something different.

Re: Some Sheet Metal Features are Grayed out!!
This is the reason. I had this problem too. If you look at the feature tree you probably do not have a 'sheet metal' folder but only a feature. Screenshot 2021-11-12 094659.png This means that this part uses a f*ckin old template that causes numerous of issues (namely: greyed out 'newer' features, ...

It has been a few years since I was in SE. So my thermology maybe wrong or they could have fixed this. I had a really hard time because of assembly configurations. Not a practical example, but a quick show of what can be done in SE. What is the workflow for this in SW? Re: How to refresh the gauge table - is it possible?
I like the way Solid Edge does it. Solid Edge does not embed a gauge table in the file. Then if you make a change this notification shows. 2021-11-09 15_45_16-Window.jpg And if you open the gauge properties dialogue you can see exactly which values (the fields in yellow) are not matching the gauge t...

Re: How to refresh the gauge table - is it possible?
If I use a gauge table for a sheet metal part and I change the gauge table it does not automatically update the part. Why? If I change the thickness i.e. in the gauge table it seems that there is no way that SolidWorks detects this change automatically. sometimes if I 'override thickness' i.e. it s...

Thank you for the video. I see SW is more, select something and I'll show you what you can do with it. I'm more accustomed to selecting the feature then selecting objects. Re: Dumb question, how do I select a sheet metal corner edge to "break"
Is there a setting in the Fillet feature to only select edges normal to sheet? Solid Edge has a fillet tool that is unique to sheet metal and they call it Break Corner. It behaves like fillet, but is smart enough to only select edges normal to the sheet and only does constant radius. In other words...

Well, it's kind of tricky, but you can set up the 3D Connexion driver to rotate individual parts in the assembly. Kind of a drag if you don't have that. Maybe SE users get used to not having something quick and easy for positioning parts that are already in the assembly. I agree, I like that featur...
