What did I do wrong??

Expand your solid bodies folder and see if the body is hidden.

(FYI, if you press the "TAB" key while your mouse is over a body in a part, it hides the body. SHIFT + TAB brings it back)

There are other ways to unhide it, but that is the easiest.

It looks like they should be visisble, nothing is hidden.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of video card are you using? What happens if you reboot your computer and try again?

Fun fact about the SHIFT + TAB command. SolidWorks will unhide / show the first body or component that lies under the cursor depth wise from view direction. Like a beam it looks what is the closest hidden body and shows that.
