2D Editor

Unread post by doobes »

To preface,

If this is beyond the bounds of good taste, mods please delete.

Once upon a time, our "friends" at SolidWorks provided an AutoCAD clone called 2dEditor.

I had a copy, but foolishly deleted it when DraftSight arrived. Stupid me.

Does anyone have a copy that I can grab? If so, please PM me and we can figure out how.

I need something to do some rudimentary drafting work on. The only thing I can find for free on the innerwebs that bears any resemblance to AutoCAD is NanoCAD, but it's of Chinese origin. Would really rather not use that if I don't have to....

Thanks in advance.

It seems that there are plenty of free drafting packages out there. https://stackcreate.com/software/free-2d-cad-software/
It appears that most have interfaces that are significantly different than Autocad, but whatever you choose is going to have a learning curve anyway, so why not learn a new software package?

I have a copy of it from 2011. It is about 143 mb zipped.
It still works on windows 10.
