Noob looking for help

Unread post by ROKCRLER »

I've been "learning" SE community edition for a couple years, I draw parts one at a time, but recently started trying to design parts in place.
This basket was drawn in 4 pieces then assembled. I'm showing the pathfinder to get some recommendations from you guys.
I watched this video along with several others and tried to make this part from a solid but i was having issues with the 45* cuts on the bottom of the sides.

Ultimately, I would like to make this basket but still be able to change dimensions as needed if the overall dimensions need to change.
How you you guys go about this design?
I would also like to offset the verticals approximately .125" from the edges of the base but cannot get that to work.
Thanks for the help.
Here is the finished product with a different front and some engraving.
