bill of materials HEADER and row reorder behavior

Unread post by mp3-250 »

SW2022 SP5
we have a strange behavior with bill of materials in the drawings. is it possibile to avoid the table title without the table going crazy when sorting rows with drag and drop?

We are seeing that after inserting our bill of material in the dawing, sorting the rows manually with drag and drop we noticed that if you drag the top row down to the first one and then click outside the table the BOM title (not the columns title) shows and hiding it back is a bit of annoying having to click a couple of times on the ▼▼arrows that expand the BOM table.
deleting the title rows makes the bill even stranger messIng up numbering and duplicating the columns title??

It was not due to reorder, but just clicking a cell trigger the behaviour in BOM with "parts only" and "cutlist" enable.

BR10000367868 - The table header of the BOM is expanded and displayed when clicking in GA after selected any cell on the BOM.

Not able to replicate the first behavior on 2022 SP 5.0 but yes deleting the header row, I can see the same behavior ie. duplication of the column header row and other issue. So time to knock the VAR's door.

And you can not delete the header row as SW will add it again.

@gupta9665 thank you for the test. For me the strange behavior happened with the bom setup as:
・parts only
・detail weldment cutlist enabled

indent seems to work ok
