Another bump. The job description has migrated a bit, more just CAD/PDM Admin. But with that role the person is inherently keener on our data and CAD processes and winds up being involved to some degree with how we interact with other systems like ERP and plays a role in helping improve the product development project management processes.

We had hired a young man from internally who was putting himself through computer programming course. He was doing great and taking up the reigns (and the slack I was leaving) quite well. But he was kinda poached by a more lucrative job that did more actual programming and less dealing with CAD, PDM and it's users. So now I'm back to trying to help my boss find my replacement as CAD/PDM Admin.

Yeah, I lost my API programmer for similar reasons, He just wanted to get back to full development building applications.....too much user troubleshooting PDM issues and add-in programs. Can't blame him, it takes a special kind of masochist to deal with PDM/PLM systems I think.
