It depends on where you place your cursor when you hit the "A" key. It is intuitive about where the cursor is.

You would have to share the assembly (pack and go to zip file) for us to be able to diagnose it.

Lots of things it could be. Including, but not limited to:
  • Mates are not updating properly
  • interference in the total path (which looks to be part of the case in your 2nd picture)
  • design issues

1) Did you recently switch to SW 2022 SP2? If so, upgrade to SP3 at least. I have read that this is a specific bug with SP2 and legacy assemblies.

As far as I know, it only works if the point AND the line are from the same entity. (i.e., the point is the end point of the line you already selected)

Edit: Oh, you specifically used midpoint line. Yeah, this adds a separate point that is mated to the line. You need to delete the point I think.

OK, what I found was that, if you multi select components and ALL the components that you have selected are ALL envelope, then you can toggle off envelope for all of them all at once.
