2021 edrawings issues anyone?

This is a copy paste of what I sent to our var on this topic, Just looking for feedback if anyone else is seeing similar issues since the knowledge base doesn't seem to have a ton of info on this.

We have had several edrawings issues after our recent upgrade of solidworks 2021. Most of our issue feel “windows-ish”. I don’t have a ton of time to dedicate to chasing edrawings issues, but can you provide some feedback if other customers are seeing similar issues and/or if there are any best practices we should be doing to improve our 2021 edrawings experience.

On non-solidworks clients with edrawings as primary open method for solidworks files, no file associations were set after the upgrade. We have had to do this manually on almost every client. These clients were upgraded via an administrative image setup up for contributors (pdm, manage, edrawings )
Drag and drop of tabs to open a separate edrawings session for side by side viewing of documents is flaky on many of our clients.
Edrawings will not always open properly on some clients. We almost always launch edrawings by “view file” from pdm or standard windows file association method (essentially “open with”). Often the edrawings window will not come into focus or show up on the in the taskbar. Sometimes win-tab can bring the edrawings session back in to focus, but the window sometimes looks really weird .( graphics area detached from title bar)
We are slowly coming up with workarounds, trying reinstalls, registry cleanups, etc. , but we have a lot of clients set up as contributors that rely on edrawings for primary viewing of files and this has been a nice little time suck.
